Who or What Really Sucks?

It's not that any particular blogger 'sucks'. It's that anyone who uses their free speech rights to criticize what those bloggers write are the ones who 'suck'.

Any questions?

And, as far as sucking goes, here's what really sucks:

“Most people think life sucks, and then you die. Not me. I beg to differ. I think life sucks, then you get cancer, then your dog dies, your wife leaves you, the cancer goes into remission, you get a new dog, you get remarried, you owe ten million dollars in medical bills but you work hard for thirty-five years and you pay it back and then -- one day -- you have a massive stroke, your whole right side is paralyzed, you have to limp along the streets and speak out of the left side of your mouth and drool but you go into rehabilitation and regain the power to walk and the power to talk and then -- one day -- you step off a curb at Sixty-seventh Street, and BANG you get hit by a city bus and then you die. Maybe.”

Apparently, that was supposed to be some sort of a-lister inside joke, if I read Martin correctly. I laughed so hard I stopped breathing. ;-)

Thanks for the reminder. I knew I forgot to do something.

I think the point of BooMan's comments was: You ain't nobody until somebody says you suck. It's cause for pride. If you're just a dork with a blog that no one reads, then no one is going to bother finding fault with your opinions.

Looking at your list of "META-Rant Inspiration" reveals that this very blog is based upon recognizing the influence of other blogs. If they didn't have significance, you all wouldn't bother to oppose them.

I thot nailed it perfectly - boohoo's x-p at kos was nothing but a pathetic ploy to increase his traffic - which she documents has dropped radically (heh!) since most of the leftist commentators left.

That this is such a priority for the blagmaids to discuss, as she points out, two weeks from an election where the sh*t is about to rebound on 'em, speaks volumes.

uggh, screwed that up & left out Marisacat's name - which the whole comment now links to

It's ironic that the one post last fall that generated so much traffic to BT (which has been on a downward slide ever since) was DTF's diary about the South Dakota abortion ban. But everybody knows what a serial blog wrecker Ductape is. ;)

(Wherever you are, Monsieur Ductape, I hope you're okay.)

I was really surprised to see that on his site's frontpage. And at a time when there is so much work to be done on so many matters.

Janet -in lurker mode from the Big Blogs. Too busy with activism and work to blog.

Now this is ironic... The one post that BooMan wrote that brought me to this Blog and you have to poke fun at it. :) lol

As a side note:

Is it a coincidence that every Blogger on the internet is looking for the author of Baghdad Burning at the same time that many are looking for Ducky?

It's a conspiracy I tell you.

Maybe I should post this conspiracy theory at dKos?

Well, I guess it's possible that Baghdad Burning is also Ductape Fatwa and vice versa, but if this is the case then we really are dealing with multiple personalities, because Boston Joe says he is DTF as well...

I suspect that in the current pre-election frenzy at dKos, your conspiracy theory might get short shrift.

Maybe DTF was Jimmy Hoffa...

Not to mention the boot print you'll have on your ass when he bans you.

As if anybody knows the whole truth about anything...
